As a Corpus Christi wedding photographer, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with the best wedding vendors and venues in the area. The Coastal Bend is truly lucky to have such a fantastic assortment of beautiful and unique venues for hosting amazing weddings and receptions! I am often asked by couples for recommendations for vendors that can help make their wedding day perfect, but usually, couples book their venue before they book their photographer, so sometimes, I do not get to give my recommendations for where their wedding should take place. So, I thought I would be proactive and share a few of my favorite wedding day venues! These amazing locations are listed in no particular order, and I love each of them!
The Courtyard at Gaslight Square
If you are looking for charm and an amazing service experience, then the Courtyard at Gaslight Square should be highly considered for your wedding day venue! The Courtyard is nestled in the heart of Corpus Christi, just minutes from downtown and fantastic hotels. The Courtyard at Gaslight Square features, you guessed it, a beautiful courtyard adorned with beautiful twinkling lights, classic brick floors, and a big, beautiful dance floor under the cover a gorgeous live oak tree. This unique venue has two separate indoor spaces – The Gaslight Room and the Plaza Room, and can accommodate weddings of over 200 guests. In addition to the beautiful space, the Courtyard is also home to Diamond Point Catering. Diamond Point is ,without a doubt, one of the best caterers we have ever had the pleasure to work with! They will put together a delicious and beautiful meal for you and your guests! The staff at The Courtyard are the ultimate professionals and they go out of their way to make sure your special day is everything you ever wished for!
The Ranch at San Patricio
Nestled in the beautiful South Texas countryside, The Ranch at San Patricio is a true country wedding gem! The Ranch features 88 acres of pure Texas beauty! The Ranch at San Patricio has two separate venues to choose from; Driftwood, capable of hosting up to 200 guests, and Spanish Moss, nestled in the moss covered live oak trees, which can host up to 300. Both venues feature beautiful white, open-air chapels to host your nuptials! The property is home to cattle, a buffalo, zebras, Texas longhorns, and more. You can even spend the whole wedding weekend at the Ranch and enjoy the huge main-house, complete with a pool! The Ranch at San Patricio truly is a special wedding venue if you are looking for a rustic, country wedding, with all the modern amenities that you could ever want!
Knolle Farm & Ranch
Another country wedding masterpiece, Knolle Farm & Ranch has been around long before they hosted their first wedding! This land has history! This private ranch was once the home of the world’s largest herd of Jersey cattle since the 1930s and they opened the doors for their Bed & Breakfast and began hosting beautiful weddings and events in 1997. The centerpiece of this charming venue is their white clapboard chapel, complete with pews and stained glass, where you can stand and feel the soft Texas breeze against your face as you say your vows. Knolle Farm and Ranch also features some of the finest cuisine you could ask for on your wedding day. Their on-site chef will prepare a meal that you can your guests will remember for a very long time! Then move outside to their open-air dance floor and party the night away, under the stars!
The Bay Jewel
The Bay Jewel is the newest luxury wedding and event venue in Corpus Christi. I actually just got to have a private tour of this beautiful space just last week, and let me tell you, they have thought of everything! This beautiful venue is conveniently located in Downtown Corpus Christi and makes use of the historic building with an extremely thoughtful and beautiful design that will make you say “wow”! The Bay Jewel features a beautiful, 3,000 square foot main ballroom, flanked by an incredible grand staircase that leads upstairs to a loft that is perfect for your wedding’s cocktail hour, private Bride and Groom suites, an additional event space that would be great for your rehearsal dinner, and a really neat cigar and wine room! The Bay Jewel really is a jewel for Corpus Christi, and your wedding would be stunning here. This venue is literally so brand new, they haven’t even opened yet, so I don’t have photos to share just yet. They will be hosting their first open house even on Wednesday, March 28th, and you are invited to come by and see this unique space for yourself! I’ll be there too, so come by and say hi!
Cinnamon Shore
Have you ever been to Cinnamon Shore? No? You’re seriously missing out on one of the most beautiful places on the Texas Coast! This beautiful community of stunning beach homes located in Port Aransas isn’t just a place to take your family for a beach vacation! They are also one of the premier wedding venues around! Their Great Lawn is one of the most beautiful open-air wedding spaces I’ve ever been too! Surrounded by the gorgeous architecture of pastel, 3 story beach mansions, the Great Lawn is the perfect setting for your wedding and reception. Or, if you prefer, you can say your “I Dos” on the beach and then come back across the boardwalk with your loved ones for a beautiful reception on the great lawn. One of my favorite things about weddings at Cinnamon Shore is that you can get ready in one of the beautiful homes on site. These homes are some of the most stunning homes imaginable, featuring lots of big windows and lots of gorgeous natural light, which will really help to make your photos amazing, but maybe I’m a little biased, as a wedding photographer in Corpus Christi!
